What causes a Blocked Toilet, Bath or Urinal?
Unfortunately the problems are usually as a result of negligence by the users of the sanitary fixtures. People think any item with a drain or plug hole is suitable for disposal of refuse and more. The big offenders we have already covered (see page), but include disposable nappies, sanitary products, cooking fat and food waste. Using too much toilet tissue can also be a contributor. Often if it is a minor blockage you can clear a toilet by throwing a bucket of water into the toilet pan, but if the toilet fills up and doesn’t drain away, call an expert immediately. Likewise call an expert if a bath or urinal doesn’t drain away.
